The “Stories of Freedom” project would like to commemorate the period of the totalitarian regime in Hungary from the perspective of counterculture and artistic resistant on the 75th anniversary of the end of the WWII. The project contrasts the cultural repression of the communist past and the democratic pluralism in the Transatlantic community. In this effort it is essential to raise awareness of these democratic values for younger generations. They should get to know better the past, the history of the Soviet type dictatorial regime in order to appreciate the circumstances given to them today, to keep them safe and to build a strong democratic future.
