Ride the Vibe project aims to respond to the challenges of music clubs located far from urban centers and difficult to reach by public transportation. These places are largely visited by motor vehicles, which have one of the greatest environmental footprints. Strengthening cycling culture within European music clubs offers a multitude of benefits that extend beyond mere transportation. It fosters a greener and healthier environment by reducing carbon emissions and promoting active lifestyles among music enthusiasts. Moreover, it improves accessibility to music venues, enabling a wider audience to enjoy cultural experiences. This inclusivity can lead to increased attendance, supporting the financial viability of music clubs, especially those struggling in the post-pandemic era. By embracing cycling, music clubs can cultivate a unique and vibrant community identity, attracting new audiences and fostering a sense of belonging among those who share a passion for both music and sustainable living. Additionally, it aligns with broader European sustainability goals, showcasing the music industry's commitment to environmental responsibility and inspiring others to adopt eco-conscious practices. The project aims to deploy the cycling culture through music venues in countries where it is less developed. The project is a joint partnership between three countries Hungary, Albania and Estonia.
Project objectives: promote sustainability by encouraging eco-friendly transportation and reducing the carbon footprint associated with event participation; to increase attendance at music clubs by improving accessibility through cycling; foster community engagement by creating a vibrant sense of belonging among cyclists and music lovers; and support healthy lifestyles through active transportation choices.
