The main goal of this project is to create a handbook for youth, people working with youth, and parents, containing knowledge and guidelines for the safe, responsible usage of the Internet and modern digital technology. We want to train coaches and teachers and teach young people how to use the Internet so as not to harm themselves or others, avoiding numerous threats lurking on the web, like addictions, disinformation or cyber-violence. The handbook will be available in several languages, including Polish, Estonian, Hungarian and English, so that people from different countries will be able to use it.
Within the “E-life Balance” project, each of the participating organizations will carry out a survey in their country, directed towards the young people aged 13-20, to research the scale of the problem, needs and perspective of the young. Based on this survey, domestic reports will be prepared – they will influence the final shape of the handbook. Each of the partners will also host workshops about selected topics connected to the safe usage of the web. During those workshops, the coaches will be working with the youth, and we will be summarizing the results of the actions taken so far, as well as testing and researching the solutions that will be included in the handbook. The handbook will finally be presented during one last meeting in Poland, and then made available online to the participating youth from each country.
