The project "Migrant's etude" is addressed to 36 youngsters aged 15-25 from Poland, Turkey and Hungary. Participants should be theatrically talented and also desire to promote and publicise the problem of migrants in their countries. It is one of the biggest problems of contemporary Europe.
The aim of the project is to present migrants' stories and provoke some reflection on the sense of life, human tragedies and appeal the issue to Europeans. The workshop using mime will allow to deepen this part of art in which the participants will express their emotions through gestures, facial expressions and body language. As a result, the youth will create the mime etude which will reveal the migrant's fate, their experience, feelings, pain, suffering caused by being made to leave their hometown and seeking a completely new place of living.
The project objectives: developing the learning culture, motivating the youth to actively participate in any educational experience, also to learn foreign languages, self-development, leading the youth to self-reflection, the change of cultural awareness, exchange of good practices and mutual experiences, educating young people in terms of social, historical, cultural and religious values, promotion of international dialogue and international cohesion, teaching tolerance, respecting human rights and freedom, solidarity, sensitizing European citizens to the problems of old continent. Exchange of experiences will be very interesting especially in the context of multicultural background, expressed by telling migrants' stories.
